BlueSecure Access Points

BlueSecure indoor and outdoor Access Points work in conjunction with and extend the enterprise-class WLAN security and management capabilities provided by BlueSecure Controllers.

• Zero Touch, Plug-and-play Deployment - BlueSecure Access Points are completely plug-and-play, requiring no manual configuration.
• Unmatched Security - Basic Wireless Equivalent Privacy (WEP) RC4 40/64-bit, 128-bit and 152-bit shared-key encryption are strengthened with additional security features, including local MAC authentication, 802.1x port-based authentication, Temporal Key Integrity Protocol (TKIP), Wireless Protected Access (WPA), and 802.11i (WPA v2) with multiple Extensible Authentication Protocol (EAP) methods for user authentication such as PEAP, FAST, TTLS and TLS.

High Performance Enterprise MIMO - Bluesocket’s BlueSecure™ enterprise-class MIMO AP (Model 1700) integrates a sophisticated six-antenna array that combines multiple signal paths to provide significantly better (up to 30%) in-building 802.11 a/b/g wireless coverage and performance today while providing a path for 802.11n compatibility.

802.11n Access Point - Furthering Bluesocket's technology leadership position, the 802.11n draft 2.0 compliant BSAP-1800 is the only enterprise Access Point in the market with 2nd generation MIMO antenna technology.

The BSAP-1800 includes two 11n-based dual bands radios, a custom embedded antenna array with options for external antenas and GigE port to support 2 x 150Mbps streams to deliver market leading coverage and throughput. The BSAP-1800 will also support the 802.11af power standard with a single-port Power-over-Ethernet (PoE) solution.

Outdoor Access Points

The Bluesocket outdoor wireless utilizes 802.11a to support a point-to-point or point-to-multipoint building-to-building bridge function, while simultaneously using 802.11b/g to support wireless connection for outdoor user access. The outdoor AP is designed with a rugged weatherproof housing, a durable mounting bracket, and includes weatherproof Ethernet and console cables and a PoE power inserter.

Bluesocket’s BlueView™ Management System simplifies WLAN management by providing true centralized configuration and maintenance, policy-management, and monitoring capabilities for BlueSecure™ Controllers and Access Points.

BlueView Management System Features and Benefits

• Auto-Discover Your WLANs – Simplify deployment and management by automatically discovering BlueSecure Controllers across a configurable range of IP addresses or networks.
• Schedule and Automate Maintenance Tasks - Automate BlueSecure Controller and Access Point maintenance and provisioning tasks such as backing up and restoring configurations, pushing out policy or configuration changes, upgrading system software, and installing software patches.
• Powerful Reporting - Allows administrators to create detailed inventory, user, login and users over time reports for individual BSCs or groups of BSCs.
• Enforce Centralized Policy Rollouts - Using BlueView’s powerful configuration template editor, you can define roles that enforce network usage policies and then push configurations out to either individual Controllers or groups of Controllers on your network to ensure uniform policy enforcement across your entire enterprise.
• RF Intrusion Prevention – Functionality includes the ability to detect and block rogue access points, ad-hoc users, and alert administrators to RF hacker attacks.
• Location & Coverage Maps - BlueView allows administrators to create location and coverage maps by importing floor plans and locating Access Points and Sensors on the map. Administrators can graphically visualize WLAN coverage on the actual floor plan and see power, channel, RSSI and AP user loads in real-time.
